Did you hear the news? Hustle culture is out (was it ever really in?) and slow living is the new vibe! Burning the candle at both ends is not sustainable, nor is it healthy. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again- if I wanted to be burned out and hate my life, I’d work a 9-5; to put it simply, it’s not for me! Slow living is a new trend, but it’s something that has gone on for hundreds of years. The best part is that slow living is exactly what you make of it!
As an entrepreneur who wears all the hats, a slower and more intentional way of life might seem impossible. I am here to tell you, it absolutely is possible! Keep reading if you want to make the most of the hours in your day!
Here are 5 Strategies for the Time-Crunched Entrepreneur
Batch Your Content
I not only batch content for myself, but for my clients. Unless I am waiting on some new collateral to be sent to me, I will have all my client’s content created, captioned, and scheduled a month ahead of time! If your DIY-ing it, this will allow you to use your creative juices when you’re ready, and you won’t have to worry about a thing until the next month! Set some time aside to brainstorm ideas, shoot the content, create graphics, caption your posts and schedule! I usually divide this up into to days so I enter day two with fresh eyes to write captions.
Batching content can also include emails, blogs, podcasts and more! Wouldn’t it be nice to have those things scheduled out weeks ahead? Schedule all next month’s podcast recordings in a span of a few days so it’s all off to the editor, and all that’s left is for it to be posted with coordinating social media posts!
Utilizing scheduling tools and content calendars for consistent posting.
Schedulers are a life saver! I use PLANN, and will most likely, always use PLANN. From it’s autocropping features (perfect for photographers), to scheduling stories, and planning your content strategy, PLANN is a gold mine! If you want to see it for yourself, get a discount when you use my link!
I also have a Content Calendar spreadsheet for you to brainstorm all your offers, services, talking points etc to make filling up your calendar a breeze each month! Let’s take the brain work out of creating content! Grab the calender here!
Automating repetitive tasks
Wash, rinse, and repeat! I have recurring invoices set up to send out on the 23rd of each month for current clients. On the 15th of each month I send the Social Scoop email, dishing all the latest trends and Instagram tips, keeping you up to date! Maybe automations look like recurring invoices, banking transactions, calendar reminders etc.
I also set up my CRM, Dubsado to do the heavy lifting after an inquiry. That saves me SO much time, and was so easy to set up! I simplified my process while giving my clients the best experience possible!

Outsourcing specific tasks to free up time and energy.
Outsourcing can be so scary, but if done right will pay off in dividends in the future! I outsourced my pinterest marketing recently. I knew it was something I needed to be doing, but I didn’t know enough about the marketing side of the platform, and didn’t want to take the time to learn how to do it, or implement it. April from Rise & Grind Pinterest saves the day! I highly recommend her for your Pinterest strategy and marketing!
The same goes for outsourcing your social media tasks. If it consumes you, or stresses you out because you feel like you can’t keep up- it’s time to take the steps of outsourcing.
Setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care to avoid burnout.
Boundaries are HUGE! Boundaries I have set for myself is working within my office hours, not taking on clients that I don’t align with, and prioritizing my family over all things regardless of what’s happening in my business. I was burntout at the beginning of 2024, and little did I know it had been gaining momentum since October of 2023 until it was too late. It’s now the end of May and I am *just* now getting back to normal, or my new and improved normal. Don’t be like me and ignore the warning signs.
So today, choose one of these strategies to start implementing so you can ditch the hustle and embrace the slowness of life. I hope you see the joy and contentment in it that I do. If you really want to generate momentum in your business, you have to work smarter, not harder.
